We want you to be a book reviewer!
Here’s why. We love to hear about great stories from people whose opinion we trust. Reading is very personal. We don’t all like the same books, so help Mrs. Blair by recommending books you’ve read recently.
Please type your review and turn it in to Mrs. Blair in the Library Media Center or email it to her, [email protected]. Before you send it, however, proof and edit for spelling and clarity. Book reviews should include:
1. Book title and author
2. Review by (your first and last name) Note: only your first name will appear online.
3. Summary: Briefly describe the plot but don’t give away any surprises that might spoil the reading. Hint at what might happen and make the would-be reader curious. Maybe, ask the reader questions. (Feel free to use the summary on the book as an example but be sure to write in your own words!)
4. Reaction and recommendation: Why do you like the book? How did it make you feel? Who else might enjoy this read? Try to give an age range.
Remember you are recommending this book to someone your age. You are doing the reading community a great service by sharing a book you love with others. Who knows? You may find the next great book from one of your classmates’ book reviews! Thank you in advance.
